SightSpeed Consumer - Account Management FAQ


My Account - Summary

The Account Summary Page is the first in the list of options on the Account Management screen:

1. Sign Out  - This signs you of your preferences access portal not the SightSpeed Interface.
2. Current Service Plan – lists the type of plan you are on and gives you the ability to upgrade or cancel.
3. Email Address – shows the current email address/login on your account and gives you the ability to edit it.
4. Personal Profile - shows the current Personal information on your account and gives you the ability to edit it.
5. Community Profile - shows your current Community Profile information and gives you the ability to edit it.



My Account - Account Information

The Account Information Page is the second in the list of options on the Account Management menu.  It is a full view of all your account specifics.

1. Email Address – shows your current email address/login on your account and gives you the ability to edit.
2. Password - Not displayed - gives you the ability to change it.
3. Personal Profile - shows your current Personal information on your account and gives you the ability to edit.(you cannot change the SightSpeed ID)
4. Community Profile - shows your current Community Profile information on your account and gives you the ability to edit.
5. My SightSpeed – My SightSpeed allows you to have a video call with anyone – even if they are not a SightSpeed member!   

    a. Customized page – this allows you to create a customized link to a direct video call with you. 
    b. Standard Pages
        I. Easy Link – this is a link to a direct video call with you.   As you can see the link itself includes your display name 
        II. Private Link – this too is a link to a direct video call with you, the difference is your display name is not shown.
    c. MySightSpeed Button - this is a link to a direct video call with you in the form of a button.  You can paste this button via html code provided by SightSpeed anywhere you wish others to have the ability to video call you directly even if they are not SightSpeed members

6. Current Service Plan – lists the type of plan you are on and gives you the ability to upgrade or cancel.
 



My Account - Billing Information

The Billing Information Page lists the credit card information currently on file for payment. This also where you can change the credit card on file. 
Currently SightSpeed only accepts Visa and MasterCard
Note. Phone Out/Phone In payment history is stored here under Phone Calling

The Phone Calling page tells us shows all information relative to Phone calls

1. SightSpeed Phone Out Balance – this shows how much of what you have deposited to make phone out calls you have left.

2. Buy Phone Out Credit – Click here to purchase credit to place calls to regular phone lines

3. Buy a Phone In Number – Click here to purchase your own unique telephone number for Phone In calls.

4. Calling Rate Charts – Click here to find out the cost to call anywhere in the world on SightSpeed. 

5. Phone Out Call History – Click here to see a history of all phone out calls made on your account

6. Phone Out Transactions – Click here to see a history of the cost of all phone out calls made on your account

7. Phone In Call History – Click here to see a history of all phone in calls received on your account

8. Phone In Transactions – Click here to see a history of the cost of all phone in calls received on your account

9. Current Phone in Number (s) – This is the number (s) you currently use to receive phone in calls in SightSpeed

10. Status – Shows whether the phone is actve or inactive

11. Next Bill Date - this shows the next scheduled billing date

12. Cancel -  Click here to cancel your Phone In number

The Billing History shows a record of all payments made for your selected SightSpeed plan.

Call History shows all inbound and outbound calls on your account
Note – Call History is only available to PLUS users and above

Video Mail History shows all video mail sent from your account. It lists the Subject, who it was sent to and the Date.

Understanding that with great technology, comes responsibility, SightSpeed offers a suite of features specifically designed to ensure a sound environment.

1. Parental Key – this is a special password you create that can be enacted for access to community contacts and modification of Safety settings
2. Parental Controls – this menu allows you to activate or deactivate the following features
    a. Block Lists – when active this feature requires that the Parental Key be entered before contacting or being contacted by any contact on your blocked list.
    b. SightSpeed Community - when active this feature requires that the Parental Key be entered before contacting or being contacted by any contact through the SightSpeed Community section.
    c. Remove Community Feature - when activated this feature removes the SightSpeed Community tab/section from your interface altogether.
3. Blocked Contacts List – This menu allows you to add or remove individual contact blocks.
    a. Private Contacts  - Allows you to block individual contacts from your Contact list
    b. Community Contacts - Allows you to block specific individuals you designate from contacting you through the community.

 



My Account - Contact List Preferences

The Contact List Preferences menu allows you to decide how your Contact List will be displayed in your interface.

1. Show Contacts  - denotes which types of contacts you wish to have visible on you Contact List
    a. Video Contacts - Allows those with Video Call capability to be displayed
    b. Phone Contacts - Allows those with Phone Call capability to be displayed
    c. Video Mail Contacts – Allows those with Video Mail capability to be displayed
    d. Only Online SightSpeed Contacts – Shows only those contacts that are online
2. Sort  Contacts – Allows you to sort contacts by
    a. Online Status First – Lists Contacts by those who are online first
    b. Alphabetical – Lists Contacts in alphabetical order
3. Display Contacts – Denotes the number of Contacts to display
    a. Standard View - Allows you to view 8 Contacts at a time
    b. Compact View -  Allows you to view 13 Contacts at a time
4. View Changes – Saves changes you have made

SightSpeed never uses information given to us for marketing or sales purposes; however, there are times when critical service announcements are necessary.  We also like to inform our members of product updates and SightSpeed news (Newsletter).  This menu gives you the option of deciding whether or not you would like to receive such communications.
