How do I change/update my credit card?

For Phone In Credit purchases

  •  Sign in to your account and click the Voice Tab
  • Click "Buy a Phone Number" 
  • Select what you wish to purchase with the new credit card information
  • Once you complete the purchase your new credit card information will be retained.

For Phone Out Credit purchase

  •  Sign in to your account and click the Voice Tab
  • Click "My Account Balance" 
  • Click "Add $10.00"
  • Then click “Buy Creditsâ€
  • Click "Update my credit card information"
  • Enter your new credit card informatio
  • When you click "Purchase" your new credit card information will be retained.

For Upgraded Dell Video Chat "Invitees" (Those who have created and upgraded their account via invitation from another Dell Video Chat member)

  • Sign in to your account and click "My Info"
  • Click on "Billing Information", then "Credit Card" or "Edit".
  • Enter your new credit card information.
  • Then click "Billing Information" again to make sure the new card or expiration date is shown.

How do I download/install Dell video chat again without creating a new account?

 

o Go to the Dell Video Chat support website
o Click the Download link located there
o Then click Previously Registered User and proceed to install

How do I login from the “Get Started/Welcome” page?

 

Sometimes the “cookie” for Dell Video Chat gets cleared from your internet browser causing  the “Get Started/Welcome” screen come up at launch instead of the login screen.    Getting past this is easy.  Look below the “Get Started”  button and where it says “Already have an account? Click here”.    Click on “Click Here” and it will take you to the login screen.  (see image below)

How do I uninstall and reinstall Dell Video Chat

 

o Go to your start menu and click “Control Panel”
o Double Click “Add/Remove Dell Video Chat”
o Find  “Dell Video Chat Remove only”
o Click Change/Remove
o Click “Uninstall” in the dialog box now present on the screen

I can not call someone even though they can call me

 

If you’re sure he already has an account then you have entered their email/user name incorrectly.  Confirm with the party in question.

I entered a contact but it is not appearing in my contact list

 

This is usually temporary as your contact list just hasn’t refreshed with the new contact yet.  Exiting and re-launching Dell Video Chat should resolve this.

I know I have the right password but I can’t sign in

 

    o Confirm that the user name you are entering is correct. 
    o Make sure Caps Lock is not selected as the password is case sensitive

Yes, both the sign in name and password are case sensitive.

Why do I see squares/blocks in place of letters in the Dell Video Chat?

 

Most languages are enable in your operating system by default.  Some, however, are not and may be displayed as blocks or squares in place of letters as noted in the screenshot.  You can enable languages by going into your Control Panel > Regional and language options settings and installing the language needed.    Then restart your system and you should no longer see the blocks/squares.
