Support

• Launch and sign in to Dell Video Chat.
• Click the “+” at the top right of your Contact List

• The “Add Contact" screen will appear on your interface

• Enter the email address or user name of the contacts you want to add and click Add.

Note - Existing Dell Video Chat users will automatically be added to your Contacts. Non-Dell Video Chat members will receive an email invitation to join.

The Contact List Preferences menu allows you to decide how your Contact List will be displayed in your interface.

Show Contacts  - denotes which types of contacts you wish to have visible on you Contact List.

Video Contacts - Allows those with Video Call capability to be displayed.

• Phone Contacts - Allows those with Phone Call capability to be displayed.
• Video Mail Contacts – Allows those with Video Mail capability to be displayed.
• Only Online Contacts – Shows only those contacts that are online.

Sort  Contacts – Allows you to sort contacts by:

• Online Status First – Lists Contacts by those who are online first.
• Alphabetical – Lists Contacts in alphabetical order.

View Changes – Saves changes you have made.

• Launch and sign in to Dell Video Chat.
• Scroll/Mouse over the contact you wish to delete.
• Click the drop down menu to the far right of the Contact name.

• Then click Delete.  A confirmation screen will appear asking again if you want to delete

• If you are sure , click “Yes”

Note – The process for editing and deleting are the same.  Simply delete the contact you wish to edit and re-add it revised.

Dell Video Chat allows you to import your address book into your contact list

• Click “Add” on the at the top of your contact list.

• Click “Import Address Book (disregard the email field, you'll enter it on the next screen)

• Enter the email address and password of the address book you’d like to import and click “Next”

• You’ll see your email contacts appear in a list next to check boxes.  Check the contacts you’d like to import then click “Import”

• The imported addresses will now appear in your contact list

• If the imported email address is not associated with a Dell Video Chat account it will display as a Non-Dell Video Chat user in your contact list and an invitation to join will be sent to them

• Launch and sign in to Dell Video Chat.
• Click the bottom right of your interface (below your Contact List)

• The “Invite a Friend” screen will appear on your interface

• Enter the email address or User name addresses of those you wish to invite and click “Send”.

Note – An email invitation will be sent to them prompting them to join.
