How do I get a new password, I forgot mine?

 

You’ll find "Forgot Your Password?" link on the sign in screen of your interface below the “Sign In” button.

  • Click here to have a temporary password emailed to you. (Note - The  temporary password will only be valid for 48 hours.)
  • Use this password to sign in. Then go to the “Actions” menu and choose   “My Info”. 
  • Click on the “edit” button next to password.
  • Enter the current and new password fields and click “Save”.

How do I set or change my... ?

 

Display Image?

  • Launch and sign into Dell Video Chat. 
  • Click on your display Image or go to the Actions menu and select “My Display Image”.
  • The Change Your Display Image Screen will appear in your interface.

  • Look directly into your webcam (don’t be shy)  and click the “Capture Picture” button.
  • If you are satisfied with the results, click the Save button.

 

Password?

You can change your password at any time by going to My Info. Here are the steps:

  • Sign into Dell Video Chat. 
  • Click on the “Actions” menu and choose My Info. 
  • Click on the “edit” button next to password. 
  • Enter the current and new password in their appropriate fields and click “Save”.

 

Email address?

To change your email address, follow these steps:

  • Sign in to Dell Video Chat using your current email and password.
  • Click on the “Actions” menu then My Info.
  • Click on "edit" next to Email Address.
  • Enter your new email (twice) and click Save.

 

Display name?

  • Sign into Dell Video Chat.
  • Click on “Actions” and choose “My Info”. 
  • Click on the “edit” link next to Personal Profile.
  • Enter the display name you’d like in the “Display Name” field

 

Chat Status?

  • Sign into Dell Video Chat. 
  • Click on the “Available” button below your Display name.
  • A drop down menu will appear allowing you to set your chat Status as:

        • Available
        • Away
        • Do Not Disturb
        • Busy
        • Invisible

How do I sign in/out of Dell Video Chat?

 

Find the Dell Video Chat button on your system.
It will be in one of a few locations…

 

On your Desktop

Once you’ve launched you’ll see the Interface appear on your desktop

Enter your Username in the Username field and your Password in the Password Field

 

Note – you can select sign me in automatically and it will retain your sign in information thus allowing you to just Click the icon and chat.
