I can’t see myself in my video display window

 

  • Make sure the correct video device is selected

 Go to your Camera Settings menu and click the drop down arrow/menu.  Make sure you have selected the correct video device.

  • Check to make sure that other applications are not using the camera

Often other software programs take precedence on your Webcam thereby impeding Dell Video Chat access.  You’ll need to disable this software to allow Dell Video Chat access to your camera. 

Note: Messenger and Chat programs may also need to be exited as they can impede Dell Video Chat access as well.

I can’t see the other party in my video display window

 

This usually means the source of the problem is with the other party.  In such cases, refer them to the “I can’t see myself in my video display window”  article or to contact Dell Video Chat Support.

The other party can not see me in their video display window

 

If you are encountering this and you don’t see yourself in your video display window, refer to “I can’t see myself in my video display window”.   If you do see yourself but the other party does not, have them contact Dell Video Chat Support.
